In certain cases when your product is mission critical and the volume is huge you may choose to get involved directly. Then we will work either as your purchase representative or sales representative of a Chinese manufacturer. It depends on how the agreement was made. In the past we have worked with US companies in this way which means you  sign a contract with the Chinese manufacturer directly. We will assist you with all the communications, pricing and contract negotiation, production and quality control, shipping, customs entry, and delivery.

The following steps are involved for offshore manufacturing:

1. Product/Project Evaluation
We start with free consultation and product/project evaluation. Typically you will provide us the drawings and requirements. We also need to know the quantity, delivery time, and shipping destination.  Based on the information we will find a right manufacturer and provide a quotation. For large long-term project we will invite you to tour the manufacturer’s facility in China with us.

Not every product is good for offshore manufacturing. You benefit the most from the labor intensive and large volume products. We will give you an evaluation of your product/project, and discuss further steps thereon.

2. Prototyping and Sampling
After you accept the quotation we will do a prototype or/and present sample of your product. Tooling may be needed at this time. Usually we will provide free product sample. However if the cost of making a sample including tooling, raw material, and labor is very high there will be a charge for the cost.

3. Production
We will go to the production stage after the sample is approved and we have received an order from you. We will take care all the details of production including quality control and keep you updated on the progress.

4. Shipping and Delivery
This will involve in international shipping (by ocean or  by air), US Customs entry, and local delivery. You have the option to handle shipping and US Customs entry yourself. In most cases we will handle everything and deliver the product to your facility. From time to time our customers may prefer to take care of local trucking.

Although Internet and email are so convenient today you may still have communication problem because of language and culture differences. And distance is another factor of inconvenience.
